My name is Jan Hein Meijer and I have worked for Nysingh since 2002, becoming a partner in 2004. I began my legal career at the Rotterdam-based firm Loeff Claeys Verbeke, now Loyens & Loeff, and at Houthoff Buruma in The Hague.
I deal with the following areas of law in my daily practice:
• public sector cases in general
• administrative law
• constitutional law
• the Roads Act and Road Traffic Act
• water management law and water boards legislation
• environment and planning law, including planning and zoning law and environmental law
• public policy and safety
• enforcement
• area and property development
• governance and supervision
I mainly work for:
• public authorities (municipalities, provincial authorities, water boards)
• housing associations
• institutions
• property developers / contractors
More than forty lawyers, and senior and junior civil-law notaries are members of the Public Sector Team, of which I am the chairman. They work closely together, drawing on their own expertise.
