My name is Liza Pekel. I specialise in civil procedural law, liability law and compensation law, with a focus on personal injury, government liability and employers’ liability.
I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Dutch law and a master’s degree in Private Law at the University of Groningen. During my studies, I did internships at law firms as well as with the judiciary. After completing my studies, I worked as a personal injury lawyer in legal aid for two years.
I went to law school because of my interest in society and the will to get to the bottom of everything. Being a lawyer suits me, as I am a good communicator and I enjoy using my knowledge to make a difference for clients. At Nysingh, I advise insurers and companies as well as public and semi-public bodies on liability and claims issues.
What sets me apart is my commitment, diligence and resoluteness. I take a practical and structured approach to tackling complex files, communicating clearly and without clutter.
